Jeric, Veterinary Technician

Having joined the Advanced Veterinary Medical Center team in January of 2016, Jeric has since been working hard to make a difference in the veterinary care provided to our wonderful clients and their loveable pets. The aspect of his role as a Veterinary Technician that Jeric finds most rewarding is being able to educate our clients about their pets in an informative and understandable way.

Jeric helps with administering vaccinations, restraining animals as needed, and monitoring during surgical procedures. He also pays close attention to observing patient behavior to report illness, disease, injury and any other noticeable signs to improve your pet’s health and wellbeing.

“I like working for Advanced Veterinary Medical Center because I get to see different types of breeds of cats and dogs,” Jeric proclaims. “I love being able to train patients to be more obedient and follow rules or commands.”

Away from the hospital, Jeric likes being outdoors. He likes going for hikes, running, and staying active by working out and exercising. However, Jeric also enjoys staying in to watch tv or movies, eating, and taking a good nap. He shares his home with a German Shepherd named Sargent, and a Lab and Pit mix named Ana.

Miguel, Veterinary Technician

As one of our phenomenal Veterinary Technicians here at Advanced Veterinary Medical Center, Miguel helps us in numerous ways to offer high-leveled experience combined with quality care for all our clients and their pets. Miguel is responsible for monitoring anesthesia, overseeing predicament administration, conducting dental cleanings, taking x-rays, providing ultrasounds, and much more. The aspect of his job he finds most enjoyable is getting to help our patients reach better heath with the information we can learn from taking x-rays, ultrasounds, and doing dental cleanings.

“I am a veterinarian from Columbia,” Miguel says. “10 years I have worked with animals, I love to work with animals. I have much experience with surgery and animal care.”

Miguel is a graduate of the Universidad De Ciencias Aplicades y Ambientales (UDCA) in Columbia. He has been working in the veterinary field for over 10 years, having prior experience working as a veterinarian in Columbia. In his spare time, Miguel enjoys playing soccer and spending time with his loved ones.

She is also responsible for checking our clients and patients in and out of our facility, acupuncture, monitoring anesthesia, taking x-rays, performing dental prophylaxn, helping with pharmacy needs, organizing and cleaning our hospital, assisting with patient treatments, and much more. Ariadne possesses an associate degree in veterinary technology and has been working in the animal related field for over 5 years. She joined the Advanced Veterinary Medical Center team in August of 2018 and has proven herself to be an incredible resource for our clients and their pets.

“I enjoy working with my coworkers,” Ariadne says. “I feel as though we really get along great, therefore the environment here is very positive and we work really well together.”

Away from the hospital Ariadne enjoys spending time with her loved ones and friends and going to the beach or to the park with her dogs. She owns a Maltese mix named Woobie, and a Rottweiler named Moose.

Nicholas, Veterinary Assistant

Providing experienced and compassionate veterinary care is a daily practice for Nicholas, one of our incredible Veterinary Assistants who joined the AVMC team part time in June of 2018. Nick has been working in the animal related field for over 7 years, and loves working with animals and their owners. Some of Nick’s daily responsibilities include checking our clients and patients into our facility, monitoring patients, overseeing boarding pets, and helping the team and our veterinarians with anything he can to optimize patient and client care.

Nick is a great multi-tasker with an admirable work ethic. Each day he brings with him a motivation and genuine care of our clients, their pets, and our amazing veterinary staff. “The staff is really friendly and very inviting,” Nick says. “The environment here is a good one.”

At home Nick owns a rescued Husky mix named Leroy Jenkins who he loves dearly. He enjoys taking his dog out for outdoor activities like hiking, going to the lake or river, or just going for walks.
