Advanced Diagnostics Can save and improve lives. Sed sit amet mauris

Diagnostics The Advanced Veterinary Medical Center team is committed to providing comprehensive diagnostic services. Our in-house diagnostics enable quick patient assessment and prompt treatment without the wait associated with an outside laboratory. However, we also maintain a close relationship with local reference laboratories and specialists who can perform in-depth testing and advanced imaging.

In-house Laboratory

From blood and urine tests to parasite screening, our in-house lab provides essential diagnostic results while you wait. That means our veterinarians can quickly assess your pet’s organ function, hydration, immune status, clotting ability, and more. Fast results ensure we have the health data needed to diagnose and treat sick pets without delay, resulting in better health outcomes.

Digital X-ray

Digital radiography (X-ray) is an essential tool used daily by our veterinary team. Digital X-rays are traditionally associated with bones, but the high-resolution images also help us visualize joints, soft tissues, and internal organs. Digital imaging systems produce instant images, reducing retakes and radiation exposure, and allow us to zoom in, take measurements, enhance details, and easily send the X-rays for specialist review.

Digital Dental X-ray

Most dental disease occurs below the gum line and is nearly impossible to detect during a standard dental exam. Digital dental radiography uses specialized intraoral equipment to evaluate each tooth’s crown and root to check for abscesses, root resorption, bone loss, and other common dental problems. X-rays are included with all dental procedures to ensure we detect any issues during your pet’s annual dental cleaning. If X-rays show pathological changes, we can recommend additional procedures to address the problem.

Ultrasound

Ultrasound imaging is a noninvasive diagnostic tool that provides real-time, three-dimensional images that help us evaluate soft tissues and internal organs, including the heart and most abdominal structures. Ultrasound’s unique features allow veterinarians to evaluate blood flow, measure organ size and tissue thickness, and collect needle biopsies and urine samples without the pet requiring sedation or anesthesia.

Annual Wellness Bloodwork

Although your pet may appear healthy, internal health problems often cause subtle or no signs in their early stages. The sooner we detect these health changes, the more likely they will respond favorably to treatment. Annual wellness bloodwork is a critical part of your pet’s comprehensive wellness plan, as it enables early detection of health conditions and provides pet owners with valuable peace of mind.
