Urgent Care

Unexpected pet health issues that require prompt medical attention can occur at any time. We offer urgent care services during normal office hours to save you a trip to the local emergency hospital. We do ask that you call ahead, so we can alert our team to your pet’s situation and prepare for their arrival.

Conditions Requiring Urgent Care Our fully equipped veterinary practice provides urgent care services for conditions that shouldn’t wait for the next regular appointment opening. Most urgent care cases can be seen on the same day that you call. Common reasons you may seek urgent care for your furry pal include:

  • Persistent vomiting or diarrhea
  • Cuts, bites, abscesses, torn nails, and other wounds
  • Limping or joint pain
  • Ear infections
  • Eye redness, discharge, swelling, or vision changes
  • Allergic reactions
  • Straining to urinate, frequent urination, or blood in the urine

The Difference You Need An urgent care visit includes a physical exam, diagnostic testing, and an individually tailored treatment plan. However, while we can address most urgent and immediate care needs, our ability to handle life-threatening emergencies may vary, depending on your pet’s predicament. In some situations, we may need to transfer your pet to a larger specialty facility, or we may advise you to head straight to the emergency hospital for more advanced care.  Urgent Care Services A black cat is lying on top of a resting gray and white cat, who has a bandage on its front leg and an IV from the veterinarian. The Difference You Need Always call ahead to speak with a team member if you believe your pet needs immediate care. Our knowledgeable professionals can advise you if our clinic is your pet’s best option and how to safely transport them if they are injured or sick. If you believe your pet ingested a toxic substance, first contact the ASPCA Animal Poison Control Center to speak with a toxicology expert before seeking in-person veterinary care.
